Our mission − Innovation in ophthalmology via excellent. . .

• eyesight• insight• foresight
precision & development
for
exact diagnostics
understanding vision
for
novel therapies
education
of the
next generation

We are part of the Ophthalmic Department of the University Magdeburg and apply a broad methodological bandwith to investigate structure und function of the eye and visual brain. We aim at precise diagnostics and the preparation of novel therapies by modern vision research.

• Our diagnostics cover subjective and objective testing of structure and function of the visual system (form for functional diagnostics).

• Our research aims at the understanding of physiology, pathophysiology und plasticity of the human visual system and its function.

• The education of the competent next generation of technicians, students, clinicians and scientists and the development of innovative aproaches are important pilars of our mission.
