Executive board of the faculty

In accordance with section 1, paragraph 3 Medical University Act of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt (HMG LSA), the executive board of the faculty is an institution of the faculty and heads the faculty.
In accordance with section 3, paragraph 4 Medical University Act of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt (HMG LSA), the executive board of the faculty is responsible for all matters relating to the faculty, insofar as this law does not govern anything else:

• Supervision of the research and teaching facilities which are assigned to the faculty
• Decisions concerning the deployment of the members of the scientific service and other faculty staff
• Responsibility for the economic use of the resources allocated to the faculty for teaching and research
• Regular briefing of the faculty council concerning all important matters.

In addition, the executive board of the faculty has the following tasks in particular:

• Organization of the faculty's structure and development plans
• Preparation of target agreements
• Voting alongside the board of the clinic
• Organization of the basic principles for the distribution and use of research and teaching grants
• Allocation and distribution of grants
• Submission of appeal proposals to the faculty
• On behalf of the faculty council, drafting proposals for the functional description of professorships
• Organization of the budget estimate, the financial plan, the annual financial statement and the explanatory report.
