Supervisory board

Since 1st January 2006, the University Clinic of Magdeburg (UKMD) has had the status of a legal institution under public law. In accordance with section 9, paragraph 1 Medical University Act of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt (HMG LSA), the supervisory board is an institution of the University Clinic and works on the basis of Section 10 HMG LSA.

In accordance with section 11 HMG LSA, the supervisory board has the following tasks:

Upon a proposal made by the executive board of the clinic, the supervisory board decides on the clinic's structure and development and monitors and advises the executive board. In particular, the supervisory board ensures that the University Clinic fulfils its tasks pursuant to section 8 paragraph 1 HMG LSA. It has comprehensive rights of access to information, inspection and control in respect of the documents and operations of the University Clinic.
