10 years pediatric anesthesia day in Magdeburg
The Universitätsklinik für Anästhesiologie und Intensivtherapie will hold the 10th anniversary event of the Pediatric Anesthesia Day educational series on January 14. The theme of this year's event is "What Really Matters - 2.0." Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Hachenberg, Director of the University Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, cordially invites physicians and nurses to the Gesellschaftshaus am Klosterbergegarten in Magdeburg.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. with a "Workshop Children's Emergencies Interdisciplinary". At 10 a.m., Prof. Dr. Dr. Hachenberg will open the event together with his colleague senior physician Dr. Selinde Mertz from the University Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, followed by a welcoming address by the President of the Medical Association of Saxony-Anhalt, Prof. Dr. Uwe Ebmeyer. The subsequent lectures will offer a wide-ranging, interdisciplinary program with experts from Germany and Switzerland.

Some of the topics of the symposium include "What is really significant - non-medicinal pain therapy in pediatric anesthesia", presented by Dr. med. Julius Wermelt, Frankfurt am Main, "What is really special - laparoscopy in premature infants weighing less than 1000 g", presented by private lecturer Dr. Salmai Turial, chief physician of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Traumatology and Pediatric Urology Abteilung für Kinderchirurgie, Kindertraumatologie und Kinderurologie of the University Medicine Magdeburg. "What to pay special attention to in the care of burn injured children from a center's point of view" is another topic and will be presented by Dr. Gert Schröter, Berlin. The numerous specialists in their field underline the thematically broad spectrum of the event. The symposium is scheduled to end at 4 pm.
