Certification of the UMMD Gynecologic Cancer Center.
Die Universitätsklinik für Frauenheilkunde, Geburtshilfe und Reproduktionsmedizin Magdeburg has received certification from the German Cancer Society as a "Gynecological Cancer Center" in the fall of 2022. This initial certification of the University Women's Hospital took place through OnkoZert, an independent certification institute of the German Cancer Society.
Prof. Dr. med. Atanas Ignatov, Director of the University Women's Hospital, and private lecturer Dr. med. Svetlana Tchaikovski, Deputy Clinic Director and Coordinator of the Cancer Center, explain: "We are very pleased about the certification as a cancer center. It is of great importance to us to be able to provide the best possible oncological care for patients with cancer at the highest scientific and medical standards. We sincerely thank our staff for their excellent cooperation in the certification process."

The certificates are awarded by the German Cancer Society only to facilities that meet the highest qualitative and interdisciplinary requirements in the treatment of patients with cancer at the most up-to-date and highest level of knowledge. This is verified by strict auditing by external experts. This officially confirms the high quality and standards, regional and national cutting-edge medicine in the oncological care of the population at the University Medical Center Magdeburg.
