Supervisory Board fills deputy positions
Against the background of new rules of procedure for the hospital's Executive Board, the Supervisory Board of Magdeburg University Hospital appointed the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and the Deputy Nursing Director of Magdeburg University Hospital at its meeting on September 2, 2024.
The Supervisory Board appointed the Commercial Director, Mr. Marco Bohn, as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board with immediate effect. He will therefore stand in for Prof. Dr. med. Hans-Jochen Heinze in his absence as Chairman of the Executive Board.
Mr. Bohn has been Commercial Director of Magdeburg University Hospital since 1 May 2022. In December 2023, the Supervisory Board decided to extend his term of office by a further eight years from January 1, 2024.His professional career includes numerous important positions in the healthcare sector. Before joining the UKMD, Mr. Bohn was Commercial Director and member of the Executive Board at the University Hospital Halle A.ö.R. from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, he held the position of Managing Director of Sana Kliniken Berlin Brandenburg GmbH from 2017 to 2020. From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Bohn was Head of the Finance, Planning and Controlling departments as well as Managing Director of the Medical Care Center (MVZ) and Deputy to the Commercial Director. He began his career as Commercial Director of the Department of Operative Medicine at Leipzig University Hospital A.ö.R., where he worked from 2012 to 2014.
The Supervisory Board has also decided to appoint Alice Schumann as Deputy Director of Nursing with immediate effect.
Ms. Schumann, 53 years old, has been employed at Magdeburg University Hospital since December 1989.Initially working as a nursing assistant, she worked in various internal medicine wards after training as a healthcare and nursing assistant and became ward manager of the Intermediate Care Clinic for Cardiology and Angiology in 2003.She has been Head of Nursing in the Nursing Directorate since January 2021 and Deputy Nursing Director since January 2023.
