What can kind of stays are possible?

participate in lectures and seminars in German
do a medical clerkship
spend an elective period ( internado) in a clinical department
participate in a research project of ouriinstitutes or clinical departments

German proficiency and German courses

All our courses (lectures and seminars) are given in German. In some clinical departments, international students can only be accepted if they are fluent in German. In other departments, it might be possible to do practical training (clerkships, electives) in English.

Usually fluency in English is sufficient for doing a research project.

Please consider, however, that outside of the campus it will be necessary to communicate in German.

During the semester German courses are offered, in which exchange students can participate.

Accommodation in Magdeburg

Exchange students can book a room in the students' dorms. It is necessary, though, to book at least six months in advance to be sure to obtain a room. The application forms are available at the International Office.

Application deadline and application form:

Please send your application six months prior to your arrival. The application form is available at the International Office. If you need a visa for entering Germany, please be aware that it might take several months to obtain it.
