Institute of Experimental Internal Medicine
| The institute cooperates with the clinics of the Centre of Internal Medicine in teaching and research. The students are educated in the courses of studies Medicine and Biosystems-Engineering. The research program of the institute encompasses scientific projects on the pathophysiology of inflammation and tumour biology. Here, the molecular and cell biological mechanisms of the intracellular signal transmission are of special interest. In addition, the research groups work on the question of protein function in cellular networks and the innovative approach of mathematical models of signal processes in complex systems. This research profile as regards content is represented within the research co-operations of the medical faculty and the Otto von Guericke University. |  |
