We are seeking an ambitious PhD student (f/m/d) with strong interest in human genetics for our HiChol translational research network on inherited intrahepatic cholestasis syndromes. Within the project whole exome and whole genome sequencing will be carried out and bioinformatics will be applied to determine the potential pathogenicity of detected variants and identification of novel cholestasis-related genes. Selected variants will also be studied for their biological consequences in vitro. The influence of more common disease modifying variants will be studied regarding their impact on disease progression or therapeutic options.
