Frequently asked questions

What symptoms indicate pancreatic cancer?

Pancreatic cancer does not become apparent until late and there are also no clear symptoms that indicate this disease. However, you should definitely take the following complaints very seriously and go to the doctor in case of:

  • pain in the upper abdomen and back lasting longer and also at night
  • persistent nausea and digestive problems
  • persistent feeling of pressure in the upper abdomen
  • unwanted weight loss

How can pancreatic cancer be treated?

The treatment of pancreatic cancer depends on how far the disease has progressed. The earlier the tumor is treated, the better it can be fought. To make the diagnosis, several examinations must first be performed and evaluated. The treatment options are then surgery and chemotherapy, which are usually used together. Furthermore, other pre-existing conditions, the general condition and, of course, your personal wishes also determine the approach to therapy.
