Project Future: Successful Training Day at UMMD
Magdeburg University Medical Center (UMMD) revolved around career prospects: Under the motto “Project Future,” the UMMD opened its doors to anyone interested in learning about the wide range of training and degree programs available.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., numerous interested visitors on the campus on Leipziger Straße learned about the various career fields in healthcare. Training and degree programs were presented in areas including surgery and anesthesia, nursing, medical diagnostics, therapy, administration, and the dual midwifery program. At the various information booths, trainees and staff from the respective departments were available to answer questions and engage in personal conversations.
A special highlight was the tours of various work areas at UMMD. During tours of the radiology department, laboratory, operating room, nursing station, and intensive care unit, guests were able to gain direct insight into the working environment at the University Medical Center and experience the different departments firsthand.

Refreshments were also provided: The bake sale raised about 300 euros for pediatric oncology. The cakes and treats were baked by dedicated trainees and employees. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this wonderful result with their baking skills and dedication!
The Cracau and Lostau locations were also represented on-site and provided information about their opportunities and career prospects for young professionals.
The Training Day was a complete success: Numerous interested visitors took the opportunity to learn about the various training programs, ask questions, and gain a firsthand impression of the different areas of work at UMMD.
A big thank you goes to all the trainees, employees, and colleagues who contributed with great dedication to the preparation and organization and who were on site on Saturday to ensure that the Training Day was such a success. Whether it was in planning, at the information booths, during the tours, with the hands-on activities, or behind the scenes: Thank you very much for your dedication and all the hard work you put in both leading up to the event and on the training day itself!
