UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MAGDEBURG

For the fourth time, an AUC TDSC® course was held in Magdeburg. Doctors received realistic training in dealing with terrorist attacks and disaster situations, as well as important surgical decision-making aids for dynamic emergency situations.

On November 19, 2025, a moving memorial service was held at St. John's Church in Magdeburg to honor the emergency responders who risked their lives during the attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market. Firefighters, emergency medical services personnel, police officers, and helpers from nearby hospitals gathered to reflect together, support one another, and receive the city of Magdeburg's gratitude for their tireless efforts.

How can science specifically strengthen public health services? This question was the focus of the event “ÖGD meets Science” on November 18, 2025, on the UMMD campus. Experts from health authorities, state administration, medical associations, and research discussed how current findings can be translated into effective measures for health protection.
