555th Birth in 2026 at UMMD
The Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Reproductive Medicine at Magdeburg University Medical Center celebrated a special milestone: With the birth of little Nele Emilia, the 555th birth of 2026 was recorded.
Nele Emilia was born on July 7, 2026, at 10:03 a.m. She weighed 3,020 grams and was 49 centimeters long. Mother Kathleen and her newborn are doing well.
The birth was attended by an experienced team from the University Clinic for Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Reproductive Medicine. Midwives, doctors, and midwifery students work hand in hand here to provide individualized and safe care to expectant parents during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
Magdeburg University Medical Center extends its warmest congratulations to Kathleen and her family on the birth of Nele Emilia and wishes them all the best, good health, and many happy moments as they embark on their journey together.
