A new approach to psychosocial care in intensive care units
As part of the IPS Pilot project funded by the Innovation Committee of the Joint Federal Committee, a specialist event will take place at Ulm University Hospital on November 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The aim of the project is to develop and scientifically evaluate integrated psychosocial care for patients, relatives, and staff in intensive care units. The event will provide insights into the current status of the pilot study as well as international care models and research results.
Prof. Dr. Christian Apfelbacher, Head of the Institute for Social Medicine and Health System Research Magdeburg, will give a lecture on the topic “How can integrated psychosocial care in the ICU be meaningfully evaluated?”
The so-called poster walk will provide additional insights into the project work of the participating scientific staff. A panel discussion with clinical, institutional, and personal perspectives will round off the program. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for informal discussion over refreshments. Further information on the program can be found in the flyer.
