Patient Café
The Breast Center and the Gynecologic Cancer Center at the University Clinic for Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Reproductive Medicine in Magdeburg (certified centers of the UMMD Oncology Center) regularly organize patient cafés in collaboration with the Magdeburg Cancer League. The goal is to create a safe space for exchange, mutual support, and personal connections in a trusting atmosphere.
At the most recent meeting on April 14, 2026, the focus was on art therapy. Participants creatively explored their current emotional state and consciously captured what brings them joy and strength. Through painting, personal, positive impressions emerged, along with valuable moments of togetherness.

Past meetings have covered a wide range of topics—from self-care through activities such as sports and exercise, and social support services for patients at home, to a photo shoot for patients during and after cancer treatment, and a joint Advent café.
The Patient Café is free of charge and is open to patients and their families.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved in making these gatherings possible. The next events are already being planned.
