As part of the Psychiatric-Psychotherapeutic Colloquium with Trialog Forum, Magdeburg University Hospital is hosting another event in January 2026. The colloquium series organized by the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy combines the latest scientific findings with open dialogue between experts, patients, and their families.

The January event will focus on a particularly exciting and socially relevant topic from forensic psychiatry and neuroscience: The Mask of Normality: What happens in the brains of psychopaths.

The speaker is Prof. Dr. med. Timm Pöppl from the Department of Forensic Psychiatry and Experimental Psychopathology at the University of Regensburg. In his lecture, he will shed light on the neurobiological basis of psychopathic personality traits and place them in a clear clinical and social context.

Format: In-person event with additional online participation option via Zoom

Participation is free, and registration is not required. The event is certified by the Medical Association.
