UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MAGDEBURG

On October 1 and 2, 2025, Magdeburg University Hospital welcomed 16 new dual students to its midwifery program. With a warm welcome, initial insights into the practical side of the profession, and a very personal talisman, the prospective midwives began their academic training.

At the start of the 2025/26 winter semester, the Faculty of Medicine at OVGU Magdeburg will bid farewell to three long-standing and dedicated university lecturers: Prof. Dr. Hermann-Josef Rothkötter, Prof. Dr. Hans-Henning Flechtner, and Prof. Dr. Martin Fischer. Over the decades, they have not only shaped their respective departments but also played a significant role in shaping the faculty's profile.

Following last year's great success, the University Clinic for Cardiology and Angiology in Magdeburg, in collaboration with LIAM GmbH, is once again inviting participants to a practical training event featuring cutting-edge presentations, clinically relevant discussions, and renowned speakers.
