Trainees manage a ward – A successful learning project at Magdeburg University Hospital
The “Trainees manage a ward” project was successfully implemented again in 2025 at Magdeburg University Hospital – this time in wards MKG1 and CHK09. It offers trainees in their third year of general nursing training the opportunity not only to get to know everyday life on the ward, but also to actively help shape it and organize it on their own responsibility.
The Next-Gen IR Skills Lab in Magdeburg – Ready for the future of interventional radiology
On May 9 and 10, 2025, the Next-Gen IR Skills Lab offered young radiologists at the Wissenschaftshafen Magdeburg an innovative training format that combines theory and practice at the highest level. Realistic simulations, practice-oriented training, and direct exchange with experts—an intensive learning event for the perfect start in interventional radiology.
1. Magdeburger TAVI-Day
Since 2013, we have been implanting transcatheter aortic valves at our hospital—now also successfully in patients with intermediate or low risk. At the 1st Magdeburg TAVI Day, we would like to discuss lifetime management, challenges in prosthesis degeneration, and future strategies with you. You can also experience TAVI and coronary interventions for yourself on the simulator—practical and interactive.
