Doctoral Scholarships
Twice a year, funds can be applied for which can be used to support doctoral students at Otto von Guericke University (OVGU) in the form of a Promotionsstipendiums
Applications can be submitted until January 15 and July 01 of each year with the respective current application documents.
Young Scientists Fund
These stand for Reisen des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses of the Medical Faculty to external institutions as well as congress or conference participation for the active presentation of own research results. Applications can be submitted at any time (but at least 3 months before the start of the measure) with the current application documents.
Calls for Proposals of the OVGU
Graduate Fellowship
Doctoral scholarships are awarded annually at the OVGU (on 01 July and 01 January). In order to ensure an appropriate processing time, the applications for doctoral funding with the complete application documents are to be submitted to the corresponding dean's offices of the faculties by April 15 and October 15 respectivelyHinweise zur Graduiertenförderung (Bewerbungsmodalitäten).

José Carreras Fellowships for Young Scientists and Young Investigators
The Deutsche José Carreras Leukämie-Stiftung annually awards three fellowships for young scientists with a funding focus on experimental or clinical research that makes an important contribution to research into leukemias and related hemato-oncological diseases. Furthermore, the Foundation, together with the German Society for Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO), awards the José Carreras DGHO Doctoral Scholarships for up to twenty doctoral students in medicine. With the Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH), ten doctoral scholarships for the field of pediatric and adolescent medicine have been awarded since 2016. (Hinweise zur Antragstellung)

The doctoral fellowships of the Kind-Philipp-Stiftung für pädiatrisch-onkologische Forschung are intended to "encourage qualified students to pursue challenging topics in the field of pediatric oncology."
