1. UMMD-Science-Slam
The University Medical Center Magdeburg invites you! On Friday, January 20, 2023, the Theoretical Lecture Hall in House 28, Leipziger Str. 44 opens its doors from 6 pm.
So what is a science slam?
Slam translates as "to strike, bang, smash, fire". So at a science slam, you get the full blast of science.
At 7 p.m., various researchers will compete against each other and try to win the hearts and minds of the audience with rousing presentations. The audience will also be the jury, who will determine the outcome of the competition by means of scoreboards. Be there and vote!
The evening will be moderated by Paula Günnisdóttir from MINDdrop e.V., which is dedicated to organizing and implementing poetry slams. In addition to drinks and snacks, there will be handmade music by the band Espresso Connection.
Tickets for the event are available at the box office: normal price 8€, reduced price 4€ (reduced price for pensioners, severely disabled persons, students, pupils and trainees).
The ticket is also the ticket for the after-show party at the student club Kiste!
