Easier learning with new e-learning platform "VIPER
To complement and expand classroom teaching at the Faculty of Medicine, a new teaching platform with innovative and digital teaching/learning materials on various areas of work in medicine will be available from the summer semester of 2023. What was missing until now was a name for the portal.
"VIPER - Magdeburg Teaching Platform" will now be the name of the future teaching platform. This stands for VIdeo and lehrPlattform for E-leaRning and is the result of the call among all students and teachers of the Medical Faculty to find a name for the new platform. The suggestion came from medical student Tom Weise, who was presented with a small gift from the digital learning platform project team.

In order to better support medical students in the transfer between theory and practice and to make teaching project content available, the faculty's teaching commission has decided to introduce a powerful learning platform to supplement classroom teaching.
The new platform will enable students to better prepare for examinations and practical activities in a wide range of subjects by providing digital and practical content throughout the academic year. The content is prepared using multimedia. The practical cases described include opportunities to test knowledge, ranging from individual microlearning units to extended gap-fill texts, interactive books, and sample tools and applications.
