February 4th is blood donation day again at the university blood bank
Those willing to donate are welcome on Saturday!
On February 4, 2023, the University Blood Bank will open its doors again, as it does every first Saturday of the month. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the staff of the University Blood Bank is looking forward to welcoming numerous donors.
Your donation is urgently needed because it is used every day in operating rooms and in the fight against cancer.
So take advantage of the open Saturday and look in the Institut für Transfusionsmedizin und Immunhämatologie mit Blutbank (House 29) on the grounds of the University Hospital. You do not need an appointment.
A blood donation is an ideal health check for you and your body, as your blood is carefully examined. On top of that, you will also be informed about your blood group. In addition to the life-giving donation, you will receive a free snack and an expense allowance.
The blood bank is open Monday and Thursday from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and every 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Those who cannot find the time at the above mentioned appointment can contact directly the Institute of Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology with Blood Bank.
