Fitness training for the brain
Neuroscientists at Magdeburg University Medical Center are investigating the effectiveness of memory training in old age and are looking for senior citizens for a study.
Within the framework of the "Sepy Study" of the Instituts für Kognitive Neurologie und Demenzforschung at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, neuroscientists are investigating the influence of web-based cognitive training on the memory of older people. Motivated seniors between the ages of 60 and 79 are still being sought for the study.
Those who wish to participate should have Internet access and no acute injuries or illnesses. If no personal computer or tablet is available, a loaner device can be provided for the duration of the study. The study includes eight weeks of cognitive training, consisting of three training sessions per week for 40 to 45 minutes each at home, accompanied by MRI measurements and memory testing. In addition to the memory training, participants will receive an expense allowance.
