Springer Publication Prize 2024
The German Society for Thoracic, Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery (DGTHG) awarded scientific prizes and scholarships to physicians and scientists from all over Germany on February 17, 2024 as part of the 53rd Annual Meeting in Hamburg, honoring their outstanding achievements.
Dimitrios Stavridis, a medical student at the Magdeburg Medical Faculty and doctoral student at the Clinic for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery, was awarded the publication prize by the DGTHG and Springer Medizin Verlag. The prize is endowed with 2,500 euros. Under the title "ChatGPT and artificial intelligence - the future is now!", Stavridis explains how the functions of the AI program can be used in cardiac surgery and for academic work.
