Top places for medical studies in Magdeburg
Magdeburg University Medicine scores highly in the latest CHE ranking with SkillsLab, support at the start of studies and study organization
The Faculty of Medicine at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg has once again achieved top positions in the latest university ranking of the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) in the field of medicine. Magdeburg's Faculty of Medicine scored particularly well with its study organization, but also with the excellent facilities of the MAMBA SkillsLab.
In the ranking, 85 percent of medical students in Magdeburg rate the general organization of their studies with 4-5 stars and are therefore very satisfied. In particular, the Faculty of Medicine achieved top marks for the support provided at the start of studies.In addition, Magdeburg is among the leaders with a success rate of over 90 percent in the M1 state examination and in graduating within a reasonable time.The library facilities and the spatial capacities in the MAMBA skills lab, a 2,000 square meter training center for clinical-practical skills, are also rated as first-class in the CHE ranking.
Prof. Dr. Daniela Dieterich, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Magdeburg, was delighted with the results: "The CHE ranking confirms the good work of our faculty in the field of medical education and underlines our clear focus on optimal learning and study conditions. The ranking of the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) is primarily intended to provide orientation for prospective students.Around 120,000 students in Germany are surveyed for the CHE ranking. The subjects included are re-evaluated every three years according to various criteria, including the quality of teaching, facilities, student support and the research reputation of the institution.
