UMMD training center starts with 123 new apprentices
Whether in nursing, in the laboratory, in radiology or in the operating room - new trainees are welcome everywhere at the University Medical Center Magdeburg (UMMD). Thus, at the beginning of August, 123 new trainees started at the UMMD Training Center (AZG). On August 11 and 12, they were officially welcomed in the houses of AZG1 and AZG2 respectively.
In addition to good theory training, the AZG also attaches great importance to the practical experience of the trainees. As early as mid-August, some classes embarked on their first practical assignment in the clinic areas.

According to Director Stephanie Dolge, anyone who is also interested in an apprenticeship at AZG should have a lot of empathy for the nursing area and also enjoy working closely with people. "In the laboratory area, a steady hand and an affinity for chemistry topics are important. In radiology, in turn, our future specialists need a good interest in technology, which becomes necessary when working with large equipment, for example. Our surgical assistants should also have good stamina, because some surgeries can take a lot of time," she knows from trainees' reports. She has fond memories of the orientation: "I think of all the smiling and curious faces, our trainees are as diverse as their professions and I think that's just great. In the future, this will also bring diversity to the profession and ultimately to our hospital."
