Autonomy in Old Age
The TEAMSenior project is a subproject of the research network "Autonomy in Old Age" in Saxony-Anhalt and is conducted under the direction of Prof. Dr. Emrah Düzel by the Institute for Cognitive Neurology and Dementia Research of the Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE).
The goal of the TEAMSenior project is the development of a training system, which enables seniors with cognitive disorders to simultaneously stimulate their physical and mental functioning at home and to monitor their physical and mental functions. The stress perception, the social interaction and the quality of life of the test persons and their relatives are recorded with the Delphi-MV-Assessment in cooperation with the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases AG Greifswald.
A further goal is the establishment of a team structure, consisting of the trainee and a healthy volunteer senior citizen, who will accompany the training once a week.
