Senior physician Dr. Paolo Gennari, Head of the Endometriosis Center at the University Women's Hospital Magdeburg, sees the certification not only as an award, but also as an incentive: "The certification by EuroEndoCert is not only a recognition of our professional expertise at the Endometriosis Center, but also a promise to our patients. Our aim is not only to treat the symptoms through interdisciplinary care and holistic approaches, but also to pave a sustainable path to a better quality of life and well-being."

The center is characterized above all by its interdisciplinary approach, led by experienced gynaecologists and involving experts from various disciplines such as surgery, urology, reproductive medicine, pain therapy and psychology. In close cooperation with a rehabilitation clinic, the aim is to provide the best possible care for patients. In addition to conventional treatments, the clinic also offers complementary approaches such as nutritional advice and physiotherapy to ensure holistic care.

About the disease: Endometriosis is a gynecological disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. This can lead to pain, inflammation and scar tissue. Symptoms vary, but can include severe menstrual pain, pain during intercourse and infertility. The exact causes are not fully understood. Treatment can be medical or surgical, depending on the symptoms and the patient's desire to have children.
