Autonomy in Old Age

Given the demographic change in Saxony-Anhalt, the research network "Autonomy in old age" is developing technological and social innovations that address and promote the potential of an aging society. Since 2016, scientists from Magdeburg and Halle have been working with the aim of supporting older citizens in acting independently and participating in social life for as long as possible. Currently, more than 40 projects are running in the research network "Autonomy in old age", which are supported by the ERDF/ESF funding programs of the EU and funding from the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Furthermore, young scientists at the AiAcampus are to be supported in a structured manner and accompanied according to their needs.

Detailed information on the research network, the ongoing projects and the AiAcampus can be found at http://autonomie-im-alter.ovgu.de/.
