The Orthopädische Universitätsklinik Magdeburg is one of the world's best orthopedic hospitals, according to the American weekly Newsweek and the data portal Statista, and ranks 121st worldwide.
The results were published on the Newsweek website and in the print edition of the magazine on September 14, 2022.
The World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2023 ranking recognizes the best hospitals worldwide in cardiology, neurology, cardiac surgery, endocrinology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, gastroenterology and more.
For the analysis and evaluation, Newsweek and Statista invited more than 40,000 healthcare professionals - including physicians, medical directors and healthcare experts - to participate in online market research. As part of this market research, participants rated and recommended hospitals in relevant specialties. In the next step, the results of the market research were confirmed by a worldwide panel of medical experts. Magdeburg University Medical Center had no influence on the evaluation.
