Study on mental performance in old age
Scientists at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU) and the Institute of Cognitive Neurology and Dementia Research (IKND/DZNE) are conducting joint research on neurodegenerative diseases and healthy aging.
They are currently testing a pharmacological intervention to improve mental performance in old age and counteract cognitive decline. The drug is already approved for other diseases, but could also be beneficial for healthy aging. For this reason, motivated seniors over the age of 60 who are willing to perform memory tests as well as MRI and blood measurements are being sought. An honorarium will be paid for participation.
