08.03.2024 -

The University Clinic for Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine Magdeburg and the Women's Self-Help Cancer Society cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Cancer? - so what!" on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 4 pm. Further information can be found in the flyer.

In a moving and powerful initiative, 12 remarkable women who are or have been affected by cancer show their strength in overcoming fears and transforming their bodies into living works of art.The unique works of art are the result of the sensitive hand of bodypainting artist Silke Kirchhoff from Meißen and were staged by photographer Marcus-Andreas Mohr from Halle.

The exhibition "Krebs? - na und!", which will take place from 14 March 2024 to 14 September 2024 at the University Women's Hospital Magdeburg in the Breast Center, offers a deep insight into the feelings, thoughts and emotions of women during their cancer illness and therapy. The artworks are not only visually impressive, but also convey the joy and strength that these women feel as they accept their changed lives.

The exhibition shifts the focus from suffering to normality and rediscovering the joy of life after a cancer diagnosis. Visitors are encouraged to wander through the women's artwork and be inspired by their impressive strength.
