Study requirements for the degree program in Human Medicine: Certificate of general university entrance qualification or a university entrance qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education of the State of Saxony-Anhalt. Without a university entrance qualification, experienced professionals from medical professions have the option of a special examination.

The study program in human medicine is limited in admission nationwide. Admission to Magdeburg takes place annually in the winter semester.

• For candidates with German citizenship and for the following groups:

• Nationals in Education (no German citizenship, but German Abitur)
• EU nationals
• Citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
• Non-EU nationals who have completed their first degree in Germany (application for a second degree)

Open study placements in human medicine are allocated by the Central Office for the Allocation (Foundation for University Admission). The application documents - stating the desired university - are to be submitted directly to theStiftung für Hochschulzulassung (Foundation for University Admission, 44128 Dortmund). The application deadline for high school graduates is 31.05. of the application year (cut-off deadline) and for new high school graduates 15.07. (cut-off deadline).

As part of the university selection procedure (AdH) and the selection procedure for the additional aptitude quota (ZEQ, former waiting period quota),  naturwissenschaftlicher Auswahltest (HAM-Nat)  is an essential selection criterion.  If you wish to take part in the selection test 2022, you must register for it online on the test portal of the Selection Test Center Hamburg (https://www.auswahltestzentrale.de/) by 15.01.2022.
